Pelvic Health/Hypopressives Workshop with Samantha Church
2-4pm
Saturday 8 November

This is a workshop open to women as it is specifically tailored to supporting women’s pelvic health. Spaces are limited and booking is essential.

We are continuing to shine a light on women’s health with a topic that is often overlooked yet essential to our wellbeing:

Understanding your Pelvic Floor and Why it Matters

Our pelvic floor plays a crucial role in our everyday movement and overall health, yetmany women are unaware of its importance until symptoms arise. In November, we welcome Samantha Church, a pelvic floor health professional (Hypopressives) who will guide us through an informative and interactive workshop covering:

  • What the pelvic floor is and how it functions
  • Common symptoms of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (PFD)
  • Traditional and holistic treatment options
  • Exploring Hypopressives with some gentle 360-degree lateral breathwork andmovement*
  • How Hypopressives can relieve symptoms and support your overall holistic health
  • Everyday tips to safeguard and improve your pelvic floor function
  • Q & A session for any guidance or advice you might need

The workshop will be interwoven with some calming Somatics movements and will conclude with a relaxing meditation – some lovely ways to connect with your body and support your health and wellbeing. Whether you are new to breath work and want to learn more, or experienced in your practice, Sam will encourage you to explore the power of breath and movement, leaving you feeling centred, relaxed and supported in this carefully curated workshop.

🌻Investment: £20 per person payable 48 hours before the workshop or before, unless by prior arrangement on the day.  Sam will provide details on how to pay.

🌻What to wear and bring with you: loose fitting, comfortable clothing would be ideal.  You may wish to bring a bottle of water and a blanket for the meditation.

🌻To book a place, please contact Sam Church on 07969 298900 or email: orchidhypopressives@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing you at the workshop!

*This workshop will not include the teaching of the Hypopressives apnoea breath/vacuum breath and will focus on learning the foundational elements of Hypopressives breathwork.

QiGong, Meditation and Magic of The Breath
3:00pm - 5:00pm
Nov 1st

'Walking, I am looking for a deeper way.
Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me.
Be still, they say.
Watch and listen.
You are the result of the love of thousands.'

Linda Hogan
Native American writer

Time to rest.
Looking to restore and revitalise?
Looking for time to reconnect with the deeper parts of you?

During this workshop we shall be exploring Qigong and the Magic of the Breath through gentle, flowing movements, some dynamic and releasing, as well as through stillness, connecting with our own energy and that of the natural world.

There will be strong and revitalising breathwork through dynamic, yang breathwork inspired by the work of Michael Bikjers and Wim Hof and a deepful restful Yoga Nidra to find that profound rest we are all seeking from time to time, and especially at this time of year.

Each of our workshops are individually tailored to the seasons of the year and connected to the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire.

In this workshop we shall be exploring the qualities of the Water that represents the deepest part of ourselves, our connection to our ancestors and the essence of renewal.

It is associated with winter, a crucial time for reflection and conserving energy, connected to our Kidneys which are responsible for storing qi energy, the life force.

As we move into the light we also shall be exploring the Qualities of the Earth Element as the Earth Element is always present through the transitions from one season to another. In its central position the Earth is the pivot for all of the other Elements which encircle and spin around it. It is a place of stability within the body, mind, and spirit. When the earth element is imbalanced within us we find ourselves feeling worried and full of anxiety. We may spend our time overthinking and ruminating, unable to stay centred in the face of life’s changes. Through working with the Channels of the Earth Element we shall focus on staying grounded and present, creating balance throughout the body.

Through our practice of Qigong we can connect into the deepest part of ourselves, replenish, restore and revitalise ourselves so we can feel refreshed and renewed to face any challenges that come our way and inspire the creative in our natures to meet those challenges with energy, love and compassion both towards ourselves and others.

Light refreshments available during the afternoon.
