Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an 8 week course that combines mindfulness practices with cognitive behavioural therapy. The course introduces practices and skills that aim to bring about a different way of relating to experience. Rather than trying to fix or escape our thoughts and feelings, MBCT teaches us how to become aware of them, without becoming immersed and swept away by them, and to respond skilfully in ways that support our wellbeing. The course has a strong evidence-base for reducing stress and anxiety, stopping overthinking and rumination, preventing burnout and improving wellbeing. Course dates: 23 Sep (orientation session) 1pm-2.15pm 30 Sep, 7 Oct, 14 Oct, 21 Oct, 4 Nov, 11 Nov, 18 Nov, 25 Nov – all 1pm to 3pm Cost: £285 per person for the 8 sessions and orientation session.
