Many moons ago I competed in gymnastics competitions, then went into coaching at the club where I grew up. Ballet and modern dance led me into to choreography for the local Arts centre. Through my passion for music and dance I ended up working in the music industry behind the scenes in A&R hunting for new exciting talent. I danced my way through my 20’s at clubs and parties before marriage and children then put all that on hold for years, until i joined an Aerial Circus school, where I filmed and photographed aerial gymnasts. This inspired me to start a little class for the under 5’s with their parents, encouraging both to hang from trapezes and swing in aerial hammocks, to balance and climb ropes.
I loved seeing the surprise and joy of the parents as they turned upside down for the first time since they were children themselves.
It’s easy to think you are too old for this or that but my 93 year old nan puts her mobility down to a life of tea dances here in Eastbourne, literally keeping her on her toes.
💃🏻 Dance it’s not what you look like but what you feel.
